सभी सपने सच हो ये ज़रूरी नहीं है। कुछ सपने अधूरे रह जाते हैं, जो हमें प्रेरित करते हैं कि हम प्रयास करना ना छोड़े। आगे बढ़ते रहे और एक ना एक दिन उस सपने को पूरा करें या ना करें लेकिन कुछ अच्छा जरूर करेंगे।

सुमित्रा एक गरीब लड़की है, जिसे अक्सर अपनी जरूरतों और सपनों को पूरा करने के लिए समझौता करना पड़ता था समय से। क्योंकि गरीबी के चलते कई बार भरपेट खाना तक नहीं मिल पाता था तो सपनों को कैसे पा लेती वो।

पढ़ लिखकर सुमित्रा शिक्षिका बनना चाहती थी। उसकी पढ़ाई सुचारू हो सके इसलिए स्कूल के कुछ शिक्षक उसकी मदद करते थे। कोई मुफ्त में ट्यूशन पढ़ाकर तो कोई कॉपी पुस्तक का खर्च उठाकर। सुमित्रा ने अपने शिक्षकों को कभी निराश नहीं की, हमेशा उसका परीक्षा परिणाम प्रथम श्रेणी में उत्तीर्ण ही रहता था।

सुमित्रा के माता पिता मजदूरी करते थे। वो चाहते थे कि सुमित्रा भी उनके साथ मजदूरी करने आए ताकि घर में आय अधिक हो, तो घर की दशा सुधरे। क्योंकि सुमित्रा के दो छोटे भाई बहन भी थे वो भी स्कूल जाते थे। सुमित्रा को आगे पढ़ाने का कोई विचार नहीं था उसके माता पिता का।

अब सुमित्रा चिंता में थी कि आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए कैसे जायेगी वो शहर। उसके स्कूल के सभी शिक्षक आए सुमित्रा के माता पिता से बात करने। बहुत समझाने के बाद सुमित्रा को अनुमति मिली कि वो शहर जाकर अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी करे।

महाविद्यालय में पहला दिन था आज सुमित्रा का। कुछ नए दोस्त मिले यहां उसे। राजीव उसकी क्लास का एक होनहार विद्यार्थी था, वो सुमित्रा की सादगी का दीवाना हो गया। धीरे धीरे दोनों में दोस्ती हो गई।

बातों ही बातों में राजीव ने बताया कि हो सकता है मैं अपने कॉलेज की पढ़ाई पूरी ना कर सकूं, क्योंकि मैं आर्मी भर्ती की परीक्षा देकर आया हूं। यदि मेरा चयन हो जाता है तो मुझे तुरंत ही जाना होगा।

हुआ भी यही ! राजीव का चयन हो गया आर्मी में। जैसे तैसे समय निकालकर वो सुमित्रा से मिलने आया और बोलकर गया कि मेरा इंतजार करना मै आऊंगा तुम्हें लेने।

राजीव के जाने के बाद सुमित्रा भी अपने सपने की तरफ बढ़ रही थी। राजीव को पत्र या फोन के माध्यम से अपना हालचाल बता देती थी और उसके भी हालचाल जान लेती थी। समय अपनी गति से चल रहा था।

राजीव प्रशिक्षण अवधि के बाद आर्मी में ऑफिसर बन गया और सुमित्रा भी अब शिक्षिका बन चुकी थी। अब तक दोनों ने अपने भावी जीवन के कितने ही रंगीन सपने बुन डाले थे। लेकिन सपनों को सच करने के लिए कई बार हमें थोड़े प्रयास और संघर्ष की आवश्यकता पड़ती है।

जब कहीं थोड़ी कमी रह जाती है तो सपनों को टूटने से बचा पाना असम्भव हो जाता है। सुमित्रा के साथ भी यही हुआ, राजीव के माता पिता ने ये कहकर रिश्ता ठुकरा दिए कि सुमित्रा हमारे बराबरी की नहीं है। इस पर राजीव ने अपने माता पिता को समझाने या सच बताने के बजाय सुमित्रा को समझाने की कोशिश किया कि तुम जानती हो ना मैं तुम्हे कितना प्यार करता हूं। किसी और से शादी भी होगी तब भी प्यार तो तुमसे ही करूंगा।

सुमित्रा ये सब चुपचाप सुन रही थी। राजीव समझ गया अब सुमित्रा के गुस्से का सामना करना मुश्किल होगा, इसलिए कल बात करते हैं कहकर चला गया। अब सुमित्रा के सामने उसके सपने टूटकर बिखरे पड़े थे। उसे खुद पर गुस्सा आ रहा था कि क्यों उसने राजीव की आंखों के सपनों को अपनी आंखों में जगह दी। क्या मिला ? सपनों से खाली आंखें आज आंसुओं से भरी है।

समय के साथ हमें आगे बढ़ना ही पड़ता है, सुमित्रा भी बढ़ गई। एक बड़े व्यवसायी के बच्चे को ट्यूशन पढ़ाती थी सुमित्रा, उसे ये नहीं पता था कि जिस बच्चे को वो पढ़ाती है उसकी मां नहीं है। सुमित्रा के माता पिता से उस बच्चे के पिता कौशल मिलने आए और सुमित्रा से विवाह की इच्छा व्यक्त की। सुमित्रा से बात करने पर उसने भी कोई आपत्ति व्यक्त नहीं की तो, कौशल ने सुमित्रा से शादी कर ली।

सुमित्रा हमेशा यही सपना देखती थी कि उसकी शादी आर्मी वाले से हो। अब उसने अपने सभी सपनों को भविष्य से जोड़ दी और अपने बेटे को आर्मी ऑफिसर बनाने में मेहनत की। उसका बेटा आज आर्मी ऑफिसर है और सुमित्रा को गर्व है अपने साकार सपने पर अपने बेटे पर।

सभी सपने सच नहीं होते लेकिन पूरे नहीं होंगे ये सच नहीं है। मेहनत हमेशा सफलता की तरफ ले जायेगी।

It is not necessary that all dreams come true. Some dreams remain unfulfilled which motivate us not to stop trying. Keep moving forward and fulfill that dreams one day or not, but definitely do something good.

Sumitra is a poor girl who often had to compromise to fulfill her meeds and dreams over time. Because due to poverty many times she could not even get enough food, so how could she achieve her dreams.

Sumitra wanted to become a teacher by reading and writing. Some teachers of the school used to help him so that his studies could be smooth. Some by teaching tuition for free and some by paying the cost of a copy book. Sumitra never let her teachers down, always passing her exam results in first division.

Sumitra's parents used to work as labourers. He wanted Sumitra to come to work with him so that if the income in the house is more, then the condition of the house would improve. Because Sumitra also had two younger siblings, they also went to school. Her parents had no idea to teach Sumitra further.

Sumitra was worried about how she would go to the city for further studies. All the teachers of her school came to talk to Sumitra's parents. After much persuasion, Sumitra got permission to go to the city and complete her studies.

Today was Sumitra's first day in the college, she met some new friends here. Rajiv was a promising student in his class. He fell in love with Sumitra's simplicity. Gradually Rajiv and Sumitra become friends.

In a few words, Rajiv told that I may not be able to complete my college studies, because I have come after giving army recruitment examination. If I am selected, I will have to leave immediately.

Some thing happened, Rajiv got selected in the army. As soon as he took out time, he came to meet Sumitra and said that waiting for me, I will come to pick you up.

After Rajiv's departure, Sumitra was moving towards her dreams. She used to tell about her well being to Rajiv through letter or phone and also used to know his well being. Time was running at its own pace.

Rajiv became an officer in the army after the training period and Sumitra had also become a teacher. Till now both of them had weaved so many colorful dreams of future life. But sometimes we need a little effort and struggle to make dreams come true.

When there is a little lack somewhere, it becomes impossible to save the dreams from breaking. Same happened with Sumitra, Rajiv's parents rejected the relationship saying that Sumitra is not our equal. On this, instead of explaining or telling the truth to his parents, Rajiv tried to convince Sumitra that, you know how much I love you. Even if I get married to someone else, I will love you only.

Sumitra was listening to all his silently. Rajiv understood that now it would be difficult to face Sumitra's anger, so let's talk tomorrow and left. Now his dreams were shattered in front of Sumitra. She was angry at herself as to why she allowed the dreams of Rajiv's eyes in his eyes. What did you get ? Eyes empty of dreams are filled with tears today.

With time we have to move forward, Sumitra has also grown. Sumitra used to teach tuition to the child of a big businessman, she did not have a mother. The child's father Kaushal came to meet Sumitra's parents and expressed his desire to marry Sumitra. When she did not express any objection to talking to Sumitra, Kaushal married Sumitra.

Sumitra always dreamed that she would get married to an army man. Now she linked all his dreams to the future and worked hard to make his son an army officer. Her son is an army officer today and Sumitra is proud of her son for his realization of his dreams.
