ऐसा क्यों ? / Why So ?

अरे ! गोपालन बाबू आईए आईए। बहुत दिनों बाद आए इस तरफ। घर में सब कुशल मंगल है ना, भाभी जी , बच्चे। गोपालन  बाबू धीरे से बोले हां ठीक है सब। उनकी बातों से अनुमान लग गया था कि, कोई बात जरूर है जो गोपालन बाबू को परेशान कर रही है। 

            

विश्वनाथ और गोपालन बाबू सिंचाई विभाग में साथ  में काम करते थे। उनकी मित्रता भी काफी पुरानी थी। अपने सुख दुःख एक दूसरे से बांटते थे दोनों। विश्वनाथ अभी ही अपने गृहनगर से वापस आया था। गोपालन बाबू अपने परिवार के साथ यहीं रहते थे। 

                    काफी देर इधर उधर की बात करने के बाद विश्वनाथ ने ही पूछा क्या बात है गोपालन बाबू आज कोई चुटकुला नहीं सुनाए आपने। अब भी कुछ नहीं बोले गोपालन बाबू। क्या हुआ है गोपालन मुझे नहीं बताओगे ? 

धीरे से एक शिकायती लहजे में बोले गोपालन बाबू, क्या नहीं किया मैंने शालिनी के लिए। क्यों भाभी जी ने क्या कर दी , विश्वनाथ ने पूछा ? गोपालन बाबू बोले पता नहीं क्या कमी थी मेरे प्यार में जो शालिनी को एक पुरुष मित्र की आवश्यकता पड़ गई। 

        

अब विश्वनाथ  सोच में पड़ गए, कि गोपालन को क्या बोले।  जबकि खुद गोपालन की तीन चार महिला मित्र थी। उसे भी क्या जरूरत होना चाहिए किसी महिला मित्र की। शालिनी भाभी भी गोपालन के साथ मित्र की तरह ही रहती थी। 

                       गोपालन बहुत बड़ी बड़ी बात करते थे कि स्त्रियों को समानता का अधिकार देना चाहिए, उन्हें वो सभी आजादी मिलना चाहिए जो पुरुषों को मिलती है। अब क्यों बर्दास्त नहीं कर पा रहे हैं कि उनकी पत्नी किसी अन्य पुरुष से मित्रता रखे। 

                     किसी को सलाह देना और समझाना बहुत अच्छा लगता है। जब खुद उस परिस्थिति में पहुंच जाए तो दोषारोपण और शिकायतों का अंबार लग जाता है। ऐसा क्यों?

Vishwanath and Gopalan Babu worked together in the irrigation department. Their friendship was also very old. Both used to share their joys and sorrows with each other. Vishwanath had just returned from his hometown. Gopalan Babu lived here with his family. 

           

After talking here and there for a long time. Vishwanath only asked what is the matter Gopalan Babu, you did not tell any jokes today. Gopalan Babu still did not say anything. What happened Gopalan won't tell me ? 

                 Gopalan Babu said softly in a complaining tone, what have I not done for Shalini. Why ? What did sister - in - law do, Vishwanath asked. Gopalan Babu said I don't know what was missing in my love, which made Shalini need a male friend. 

           

Now vishwanath was thinking, what to say to Gopalan. Whereas Gopalan himself had three or four female friends. What should he also need of a female friend. Shalini also lived like a friend with Gopalan. 

                   Gopalan used to talk a lot that woman should be given equal rights, they should get all the freedom that men get. Now why is he unable to tolerate that his wife should be friends with any other man.

                         It feels great to give advice and explain to someone. When he himself reaches that situation, there is a lot of blame and complaints. Why so ?
