मां कौन है ? / Who Is The Mother ?

हमने बचपन से आज तक यही देखे सुने है कि जो जन्म देती हैं पालती पोषती है वही मां होती हैं। लेकिन हर औरत में एक मां मिलेगी आपको, चाहे वो बहन हो, बेटी हो, प्रेमिका हो, या पत्नी हो।

मैंने एक बेटी में मां के रूप को देखी हूं। इसलिए कह पा रही हूं कि सिर्फ जन्म देने वाली ही मां नहीं होती हैं। खैर! किसन और आरती एक संपन्न कृषक दंपत्ति है। ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि में पले किसन माता - पिता की इकलौती संतान है। उसके विवाह के बाद माता - पिता उनके परिवार में पुत्र की कामना कर रहे थे। लेकिन किसन और आरती के परिवार में दो पुत्रियों का जन्म हुआ। बड़ी बेटी सुशीला और छोटी बेटी उशीला। सुशीला बचपन से ही होशियार है उसे किसी भी बात को समझने में ज्यादा समय नहीं लगता, अब वो स्कूल जाने लगी है। पढ़ाई में अच्छी होने के कारण सभी की प्रिय सुशीला पिता की भी चहेती है। मां आरती अभी छोटी बेटी उशीला की देखभाल में व्यस्त रहती हैं।

किसन अपनी दोनों बेटियों से बहुत प्यार करते हैं। वो अक्सर पत्नी आरती से बेटियों के भविष्य के लिए योजनाएं बनाते हैं। उन्हें अपने बुढ़ापे की भी चिन्ता है, वे सोचते हैं बेटियों के जाने के बाद उनका जीवन कैसा बीतेगा, क्या करेंगे वे दोनों। खासकर उन्हें उशीला की चिंता है। उशीला अन्य बच्चों की तरह चंचल और चालक नहीं है। वो नाम के अनुरूप एकदम शांत है, कोई उसे मार दे या डांट दे तो भी उशीला कोई जवाब नहीं देती थी। उसका यही व्यवहार माता - पिता की चिंता का कारण था। दोनों बेटियां बड़ी हो गई, विवाह का वक़्त आ गया। किसन कोई निर्णय नहीं ले पा रहे हैं कि वो क्या करे। सभी ने समझाये किसन को कि बेटियों को घर पर नहीं रख सकते विवाह तो करना ही होगा। किसन ने बेटी सुशीला के विवाह की तैयारी की। लेकिन बेटी को घर से विदा करने के बजाय वो घर जमाई ले आये। किसन का कहना था मेरी बेटियां मेरे साथ ही रहेगी।

लेकिन परिवार के हर सदस्य का भाग्य अलग अलग लिखा है भगवान ने। अब उशीला का विवाह होना था, पिता ने बहुत कोशिश की कि उन्हें उशीला के लिए भी घर जमाई मिल जाए लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हुआ। पिता की चिंता बढ़ती जा रही थी क्योंकि उशीला सीधी और सरल स्वभाव की थी इसलिए सब उसे मंदबुद्धि कहते थे। बेटी का विवाह तय करते समय किसन ने अपनी बेटी उशीला के ब्यव्हार और मानसिक स्थिति के विषय में सारी बातें उन्हें बता दी थी। उशीला का भी विवाह हो गया, लेकिन उसके विवाह के कुछ महीनों बाद ही उशीला की मां का देहांत हो गया। पिता का ध्यान रखने के लिए सुशीला थी वहाँ लेकिन अब सुशीला अपनी गृहस्थी में व्यस्त हो गई थी। ऐसे में उशीला अपने पिता को अकेला नहीं छोड़ सकी। उसने अपने वैवाहिक जीवन को वहीं विराम दी और एक नये सफर की शुरूआत की। अब उशीला अपने पिता की देखभाल उनकी मां बनकर करने लगी। क्योंकि पत्नी के आकस्मिक निधन से किसन पूरी तरह टूट गए थे। उन्हें किसी बात की सुध नहीं थी। ऐसे समय में शांत और चुपचाप रहने वाली उशीला ने पिता की सारी जिम्मेदारियां अपने ऊपर ले ली।

उशीला को मंदबुद्धि कहने वाले गाँव के लोग अब उसकी तारीफ करने लगे कि देखो उशीला को अपने पिता को एक बच्चे की तरह संभाल रही हैं। समय पर खाना खिलाना, नहलाना और व्यवस्थित रखना यही उसकी दिनचर्या थी। खुद के लिए उशीला को समय नही था, क्योंकि घर के काम खत्म करने के बाद वो सीधे खेतों में काम करने पहुँच जाती थी। सभी जिम्मेदारियों को निभाने में उशीला इतनी व्यस्त रही कि उसे ये एहसास नहीं रहा कि कब उसकी उम्र साठ वर्ष की हो गई। पिता भी अब उम्र के आखरी पड़ाव पर खड़े थे। उशीला अब ज्यादा ध्यान रखती थी अपने पिता का उन्हें किसी बात की परेशानी न हो।

किसन की उम्र 105 वर्ष की हो गई अब वो चल भी नहीं पाते हैं लेकिन उशीला ममत्व से भरी आँखों से ऐसे देखती है अपने पिता को जैसे उन्हें वो अपनी भी उम्र दे देना चाहती हो। जिस तरह एक मां अपने बच्चे को अपनी आँखरी सांस भी देकर जिंदा रखना चाहती हैं, वैसे ही उशीला भी चाहती थी उसके पिता जिंदा रहे। पिता की मृत्यु पर विलाप करते हुए उशीला बार - बार एक ही शब्द कहती रही कि अब उसका जीवन निरर्थक है, वो अब किसके लिए जिये।

हर स्त्री में एक मां होती हैं जो समय आने पर पूरे परिवार की ढाल बन जाती है, जो अपने सुख का त्याग करके परिवार का सुख चाहती है। विश्व की सभी माताओ को नमन है। हर देश में, हर रूप मे मां पूज्य है। 🙏🙏

Everyone explained to Kishan that he cannot keep his daughters at home, they will have to get married. Kishan made preparations for his daughter Sushila's marriage. But instead of sending his daughter away from home, he brought a son - in - law home. Kishan said that his daughters will stay with him.

But God has written the fate of every member of the family differently. Now Ushila was to to get married the father tried very hard to find a son - in - law for Ushila but it did not happen. The fathers worries were increasing because Ushila was simple and straightforward by nature, so everyone called her a retard. While arranging the daughter's marriage, Kishan had told him everything about his daughter Ushila's behavior and mental state. Ushila also got married but a few months after her marriage, Ushila's mother died. Sushila was there to take care of her father, but now Sushila was busy with her household chores. In such a situation, Ushila could not leave her father alone. She ended her married life there and started a new journey.

Now Ushila started taking care of her father like his mother. Because Kishan was completely shattered due to the sudden death of his wife. He was not aware of anything. At such a time, Ushila, who was calm and quite, took all the responsibilities of her father on herself. The villagers who used to call Ushila a dim - wit now started praising her and said that Ushila is taking care of her father like a child. Feeding him on time, bathing him and keeping him organized was her daily routine. Ushila did not have time for herself, because after finishing the household chores, she would directly go to work in the field. Ushila was so busy in fulfilling all the responsibilities that she did not realize when she turned sixty years old. Her father was also now in his last stage of life. Ushila now took more care of her father so that he did not face any problem.

Kishan is 105 years old and can no longer walk but Ushila looks at her father with eyes full of effection as if she wants to give her life to him. Just like a mother wants to keep her child alive even by giving her last breath, Ushila also wanted her father to stay alive. While mourning her father's death, Ushila kept saying the same thing again and again that now her life is meaningless. For whom should she live now?
