आज भी रोज के समय पर ही दिन निकला है। लेकिन रोज सुबह सैर के लिए जाने वाली दीपिका अब तक बिस्तर से नही उठी थी। मां की आवाज़ आई क्या हुआ आज तुझे, तबियत तो ठीक है तेरी ? हां मां मैं ठीक हूं।

मन का दर्द ना किसी को दिखाई देता है और ना दिखाया जाता है। आज खुद से भी नाराज़ है दीपिका।लेकिन क्यों ?

दीपिका यही सोच रही थी कि अब अफसोस के अलावा कुछ नहीं उसके पास। एक फैसला जो उसके जीवन को खुशियों से भर सकता था, उसके सारे सपने सच कर सकता था। उस फ़ैसले को सही गलत की तराजू में तौलने में उसने अपने जीवन के सपने को हमेशा के लिए खो दी थी।

हर लड़की का एक ही सपना होता है कि उसका जीवन साथी ऐसा हो जो उसे समझे और उसके सपनों को पूरा करने में उसका साथ दे।

जब वो सुधीर से मिली थी तब उसे देखते ही दीपिका को उससे प्यार हो गया था। सुधीर भी धीरे धीरे दीपिका के करीब आने लगा था। दोनों का प्यार ज्यादा दिन छिप नहीं सका।

दोनों के परिवार आपस में मिलकर रिश्ता पक्का करना चाहते थे। लेकिन विधाता को कुछ और ही मंजूर था। अचानक सुधीर के पापा का निधन हो गया। अब उसकी मां अकेली रह गई थी, सुधीर जल्द से जल्द शादी करके मां का अकेलापन दूर करना चाहता था।

आखिर उसने फ़ोन करके सुधीर को अपना फ़ैसला सुना दी। माफ कर दो सुधीर मैं अभी शादी के लिए नहीं सोच सकती, बहुत इंतज़ार के बाद मुझे ये मौका मिला है मैं इसे खोना नहीं चाहती। सुधीर चुपचाप सुन रहा था, आखिर में बस यही कहा कि ठीक है तुम्हारी खुशी में ही मेरी खुशी है।

अब दोनों के रास्ते और मंजिलें भी अलग हो चुकी थी। सुधीर ने मां की पसंद की लड़की से शादी कर लिया था। बेशक दीपिका आज खुद अपनी कंपनी की मालकिन थी, लेकिन अकेली, आज अचानक सुधीर को एक मीटिंग में देखी तो पुरानी बातें याद आ गई। बस एक अफ़सोस ही बाकी था।
