संतान / Children

प्रिया और अंकुश की शादी को बारह वर्ष बीत चुके हैं, अब तक उनकी कोई संतान नहीं हुई। कितने ही डॉक्टरों से दोनो नेअपनी जांच करवाए। लेकिन कोई लाभ नहीं हुआ। उन्होंने आखिर में स्वीकार किए कि शायद संतान सुख उनके नसीब में नहीं। 

प्रिया को बच्चो से बहुत लगाव था। पड़ोस में बच्चों को खेलते हुए देखती थी तो उसका मन उदास हो जाता था, वो यही सोचती थी कि काश! मेरी भी कोई संतान होती। अंकुश प्रिया के दुःख को समझता था, उसने अब निर्णय लिया कि प्रिया को और उदास नहीं रहने देगा। एक बच्चा गोद लेने का फैसला कर चुका था अंकुश।

जब अंकुश ने प्रिया से इस बात पर विचार विमर्श किया तो प्रिया की आंखों में आंसू आ गए। अंकुश ने प्रिया को गले लगाते हुए कहा चलो हमें अनाथ आश्रम चलना है। हम आज ही बच्चा गोद लेंगे। 

सभी कागजी कार्यवाही करने के बाद एक प्यारे से बच्चे को अंकुश और प्रिया अपने साथ घर ले आए। एक बच्चे के आ जाने से उनकी जिंदगी की हर खाली जगह भर गई थी। घर में जैसे हर दिन उत्सव का माहौल रहता था। बच्चे का नामकरण किया गया, उसका नाम प्रियम रखे।

       

 माता पिता का लाड़ल प्रियम अब सात महीने का हो गया था।समय को जैसे पंख लग गए थे, सब तरफ सिर्फ खुशियां थी। लेकिन एक दिन अचानक प्रिया की तबियत खराब हो गई। अस्पताल में भर्ती प्रिया की हालत बिगड़ती जा रही थी, बहुत कोशिशों के बाद भी प्रिया को बचाया नहीं जा सका।

प्रियम अभी बहुत छोटा है, हर तरफ मम्मी को ढूंढता रहता है। बच्चे की ऐसी हालत देखकर अंकुश के आंसू नहीं थमते। अब वही प्रियम की मां भी है और पिता भी। 

कभी कभी अंकुश यही सोचता है कि क्या प्रिया की किस्मत में संतान सुख नहीं था। या प्रियम की किस्मत में मां का प्यार नहीं था। ख़ैर! ये सब विधाता ही जाने। अंकुश अपनी हर जिम्मेदारी बखूबी निभा रहा है । एक पिता अपनी संतान के लिए जो करते हैं, उससे अधिक ही अंकुश, प्रियम के लिए कर रहे हैं। वो एक अच्छा पिता और मां दोनो है अपनी संतान के लिए।

Twelve years have passed since the marriage of Priya and Ankush, so far they have not had any children. How many doctors did both of them get their tests done. But to no avail. He finally accepted that maybe he was not destined to have children.  

Priya was very fond of children. When she used to see children playing in the neighborhood, she used to get sad, she used to think that I wish! I too would have had a child. Ankush understood Priya's grief, he now decided not to let Priya remain sad any more. Ankush had decided to adopt a child. 

When Ankush discussed this with Priya, Priya got tears in her eyes. Ankush hugged Priya and said, let us go to the orphanage. We will adopt the child today.

After doing all the paperwork, Ankush and Priya bring home a cute baby boy with them. With the arrival of a child, every empty space in his life was filled. Every day there was a festive atmosphere in the house. The child was named, let him be named Priyam. 

The beloved of the parents was now seven month old. But one day suddenly Priya's health deteriorated. Hospitalized Priya's condition was deteriorating, Priya could not be saved even after many efforts. 

Priyam is still very young, keeps looking for his mother everywhere. Seeing the condition of the child, Ankush's tears do not stop. Now she is Priyam's mother as well as father. 

Sometimes Ankush wonders whether Priya was not lucky enough to have children. Or there was no mother's love in Priyam's luck. Well! Only the Creator knows all this. Ankush is fulfilling his every responsibility very well. Ankush is doing more for Priyam than what a father does for his child. He is both a good father and mother to his children.
