नीमा / Neema

गांव भर में नीमा को खोज रहे हैं। लेकिन उसका कहीं पता नहीं चल रहा। आस पास के गांव में खबर भी कारवाई गई कि सत्रह अठारह वर्ष की कोई युवती दिखे तो तुरंत पास के गांव में सूचित करें।

कौन है ये नीमा? नीमा एक मानसिक विक्षिप्त युवती है, जो पेठसाल और आस पास के सभी गांवों में घूमती रहती थी। उसके माता पिता कौन है वो कहां से आई है, किसी को कुछ नहीं पता। वो जैसी भी थी, सभी की स्नेही थी। उसकी मासूमियत सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित करती थी। उसे देखकर बिल्कल नहीं लगता था कि इसको कुछ समझता नहीं होगा। अपना नाम बताती थी और दूसरों के नाम भी पूछती थी वो। अनजान लोगों से भी आत्मीयता से मिलती थी।

गांव के लोग उसे अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझकर, उसका ध्यान रखते थे। बारी - बारी से लोग उसे खाना खिला दिया करते थे। समय तो लगभग ठीक ही बीत रहा था नीमा का।

लेकिन गांव। में आजकल बाघ का आतंक कुछ ज़्यादा ही बढ़ गया है। इसलिए सभी शाम में जल्दी ही अपने घरों में बंद हो जाते हैं। पिछले कुछ दिनों से नीमा गांव में दिखाई नहीं दी। इसलिए गांव वाले उसके लिए निश्चिंत थे कि शायद नीमा किसी सुरक्षित स्थान पर चली गई होगी।

जब पास के गांव से कुछ रिश्तेदार यहां आए तब पता चला कि नीमा अस्वस्थ हैं। इसलिए अब पहले से ज्यादा कमजोर हो गई। नीमा का हमारे गांव से कुछ ज्यादा लगाव रहा है, क्योंकि यहां उसे बच्चे परेशान नहीं करते थे ना कोई झिड़कता था।

किसी को नहीं पता था कि नीमा पिछले एक सप्ताह से गांव के पास एक मंदिर में बेसुध पड़ी है। धीरे - धीरे उसकी कमजोरी उसकी दुश्मन बन गई।

कल मौसम कुछ खराब था, दिनभर बारिश होने के कारण शाम से ही कोहरा और धुंध छा गई थी। सभी अपने - अपने घरों। में बंद थे। इधर बाघ आकर कब नीमा को घसीटकर जंगल की तरफ ले गया किसी को कुछ पता नहीं चला।

No one knew that Neema was lying unconscious in a temple near the village for the past one week. Gradually his weakness became his enemy.
