नया साल / New Year

पुष्पा की चार साल की बेटी है पूजा, अपनी मां के साथ साए की तरह रहती है। कभी उसके सवाल खत्म नहीं होते, हर पल एक नया सवाल रहता है उसकी जुबान पर। पुष्पा का पति धीरज मजदूरी करता है।

         

धीरज अभी काम पर नहीं जा रहा है क्योंकि उसके पैर में चोट की वजह से वो ठीक से चल नहीं पा रहा है। घर की पूरी जिम्मेदारी अभी पुष्पा पर ही है। साथ ही धीरज का इलाज भी करवा रही है।

पुष्पा घरों में काम करने जाती है तो पूजा भी मां के साथ चली जाती है। क्रिसमस की धूमधाम के बाद, अब नए साल के जश्न की बातें रोज ही सुन रही थी पूजा। क्योंकि सभी पुष्पा की मदद चाहते थे कि नए साल की पार्टी वाले दिन पुष्पा जल्दी आ जाए काम पर।

         

काम खत्म करके जब पुष्पा नन्हीं पूजा को गोद में उठाकर घर आती है तो रास्ते भर पूजा सवाल करती रहती है। कि मां ये नया साल हमारे घर भी आएगा क्या ? क्या हमे भी उसके स्वागत के लिए बड़ी तैयारी करनी चाहिए ! बोलो मां।

            

पुष्पा समझती थी कि पूजा क्या पूछना चाह रही है। लेकिन जवाब तो कुछ भी नहीं था उसके पास। क्योंकि धीरज के पैर का घाव ठीक होने के बजाय बढ़ता ही जा रहा था, डॉक्टर का कहना था कि धीरज का पैर काटना पड़ेगा। पुष्पा अगली तनख्वाह से धीरज के पैर का ऑपरेशन करवाने वाली थी।

पूजा अपने सवालों के जवाब का इंतजार कर रही थी, कि अब मां क्या बोलेगी। कोई जवाब ना पाकर पूजा भी चुप हो गई।घर आकर पिताजी के पास बैठकर भी पूजा यही सवाल कर रही थी कि बताओ पिताजी नया साल हमारे घर भी आएगा क्या ? 

           

अपनी गोद में बिठाकर धीरज ने पूजा को बड़े प्यार से समझाया कि हां बेटी नया साल हमारे घर भी आएगा। फिर हाथ जोड़कर भगवान से प्रार्थना करने लगा कि भगवान नया साल हमारे लिए स्वास्थ्य, सुख और समृद्धि लेकर आए।

         नन्हीं पूजा ये सब समझ नहीं पाई। लेकिन पिता की बातों से खुश होकर बाहर खेलने चली गई। दो दिन बाद नया साल आएगा और नए साल में सब कुछ बदल जाएगा नए साल में हमारा घर झोपड़ी से पक्का मकान बन जायेगा, पिताजी का पैर ठीक हो जाएगा और मां को भी काम पर नहीं जाना पड़ेगा। यही सोच लेकर पूजा सो गई।

             

पुष्पा नए साल का कैलेंडर ले आई। कल बहुत से घरों में उसे जल्दी काम पर आने का आदेश मिला है। आज पुष्पा जल्दी चली गई काम पर, पूजा घर पर अपने पिता के साथ है। आज पूजा बार - बार अपने पिता से पूछ रही है नया साल अपने घर कब आएगा।

उस मासूम को ये नहीं पता कि आज ही नया साल शुरू हो गया। धीरज बार - बार दीवार पर टंगे कैलेंडर की तरफ देखता फिर पूजा को देखकर सोचने लगता कि नया साल हम गरीबों के लिए कोई चमत्कार नहीं है। हर दिन की तरह ही आज भी दिन निकला है मुसीबतों को साथ लेकर। कब तक खुद को भी समझाएं कि नया साल खुशियां लेकर आएगा।

         

शाम में जब पुष्पा घर आई तब पूजा दौड़कर आई मां के पास और पूछने लगी मां हमारे घर क्यों नहीं आया नया साल, मैं तो सुबह से इंतजार कर रही हूं।

पुष्पा बोली बेटी नए साल में हमारे लिए सिर्फ नई तारीखें है।

Dheeraj is not going to work right now as he is unable to walk properly due to injury to his leg. Right now the entire responsibility of the house rests on Pushpa. Along with this, she is also getting treatment for Dheeraj. 

When Pushpa goes to work in the houses, Pooja also goes with her mother. After the pomp of Christmas, now Pooja was listening to the talk of New year's celebration every day. Because everyone wanted Pushpa's help that Pushpa should come early to work on the day of the New year's party.

              

After finishing the work, when Pushpa comes home carrying little Pooja in her lap, Pooja keeps asking questions all the way. That mother this new year will also come to our house ? Should we also make great preparations to welcome him ! Speak mother.

Pushpa understood what Pooja was trying to ask. But she had no answer. Because the wound on Dheeraj's leg was increasing instead of healing, the doctor said that Dheeraj's leg would have to be amputated. Pushpa was about to get Dheeraj's leg operation done with the next salary.

           Pooja was waiting for the answers to her questions, what will the mother say now. Not getting any answer, Pooja also fell silent. Even after coming home, sitting next to her father, Pooja was asking the same question that tell me, will the New Year come to our house too.

Sitting on his lap, Dheeraj lovingly explained to Pooja that yes daughter New year will also come to our house. Then with folded hands started praying to God that, may the New Year bring health, happiness and prosperity to us.

               

Little Pooja could not understand all this. But happy with her father's words, she went out to play. After two days, the new year will come and everything will change in the new year. Our house will be converted from hut to pucca house, father's leg will be fine and mother will not have to go to work. With this thought, Pooja fell asleep.

         

Pushpa brought the new year calendar. Yesterday in many houses she got orders to come to work early. Today Pushpa left early for work, Pooja is at home with her father. Today Pooja is repeatedly asking her father when the new year will come to her home.

                      That innocent girl does not know that the new year has started today. Dheeraj kept looking at the calendar hanging on the wall again and again and seeing the Pooja started thinking that the new year is not a miracle for us poor. Like every day, today is also a day with trouble. For how long should you convince yourself that the new year will bring happiness.

            

 

When Pushpa came home in the evening, Pooja came running to her mother and started asking why the mother did not come to our house for the new year. I have been waiting since morning.
