अन्धविश्वास / Superstition

हम इंसान कभी - कभी ज़्यादा विश्वास करके धोखा पाते हैं, तो कभी अन्धविश्वास से ज़िन्दगी में बर्बादी ले आते हैं। सच कहूं  तो विश्वास ही अन्धविश्वास तक ले जाता है हमें। 

             

हम अपने फैसलों के गलत परिणाम के लिए भी भगवान या किस्मत को दोष देने में पीछे नहीं रहते। लालच में इंसान सही गलत में अंतर ही भूल जाता है। जब गलत रास्ते पर चलकर बर्बादी तक पहुँच जाता है, तब उसे एहसास होता है कि लालच कहाँ ले आया है।

सीधी - सादी संतोष अपने पति और दो बच्चों के साथ गांव छोड़कर शहर आ गई। ताकि जीवन में कुछ अच्छा कर सके और बच्चों को अच्छी शिक्षा के साथ - साथ अच्छी परवरिश दे सके। 

         

नयी जगह, नए लोगों में अपनी पहचान बनाना आसान नही होता। संतोष को भी कठिनाईयों का सामना करना पड़ा। लेकिन उसने अपने लिए जल्दी नया काम सोच ली और शुरू भी कर दी काम। थोड़ा समय तो लगेगा, यही सोचकर संतोष रात - दिन मेहनत कर रही थी।

संतोष ने टिफिन सेंटर की शुरुआत कम पैसों से की थी लेकिन जल्दी ही उसके बनाये खाने का स्वाद लोगों को पसंद आने लगा। अब तक संतोष का काम काफी गति पकड़ चुका था। लेकिन मेहनत से कमाये पैसों में उसको संतुष्टि नहीं हो रही थी। 

पास -पड़ोस की महिलाओं से बातचीत के दौरान संतोष को पता चला कि पहाड़ी वाले बाबा बहुत चमत्कारी है। वो हर मनोकामना पूरी करते है, एक बार जाने से ही फायदा होता है।

         

 संतोष अपने लालच को रोक ना सकी और पहुँच गई पहाड़ी वाले बाबा के पास। एक बार जाने के बाद संतोष के काम में थोड़ा फायदा दिखा तो उसका लालच बढ़ने लगा। लेकिन वो भूल गई कि हमारी मेहनत से छोटे - मोटे फायदे और नुकसान तो खुद ही होते हैं। कोई बाबा किसी के भाग्य निर्माता नहीं हो सकते।

इतनी सी बात संतोष समझ नहीं पा रही थी। अब तो वो अपने साथ अपनी बेटी कंचन को भी ले जाने लगी और ढोंगी बाबाओं पर भरोसा करना उसके लिए बड़ी भूल साबित हुआ।

जिस बाबा को बरसों से पूज रही थी उसने संतोष को पूरी तरह से अपने विश्वास में ले लिया और संतोष से कहा कि उसकी बेटी के जीवन में कोई संकट ना आये इसके लिए, बेटी से अनुष्ठान करवाने का बहाना करके उसे अकेली कुटिया में भेजने को कहा। 

             

लालची संतोष इतनी अंधविश्वासी हो गई थी कि उसे अपनी बेटी की चिंता भी नहीं हुई और अगले दिन अपनी बेटी कंचन को पाखंडी बाबाओं को सौंप दी। कंचन अपनी माँ के द्वारा किये गए कृत्य से आहत तो थी ही लेकिन जिन बाबाओं पर आँख बंद करके संतोष भरोसा कर रही थी वो भी झूठा ही निकला। 

           

बाबाओं ने कंचन के साथ बारी - बारी जो कुकृत्य किया उसकी कल्पना तो कभी संतोष ने भी नहीं की थी। लेकिन कंचन अपनी माँ के प्रति नफरत से भर गई थी। खुद को कलंकित महसूस कर रही मासूम कंचन अपने जीवन को समाप्त करने का निर्णय ले चुकी थी।

दूसरे दिन भी जब संतोष बेटी के प्रति लापरवाही दिखाते हुए बाबाओं के डेरे पर जा पहुंची तब कंचन खुद पर विश्वास करते हुए अपने लिए गए फैसले को सच कर गई। अपनी माँ के लिए दो शब्द लिख दिए कि - " तुम्हें माँ कहलाने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है।"

We humans sometimes get deceived by believing too much and sometimes bring ruin in life due to Superstition. To be honest, faith only leads us to Superstition.

       

 We do not hold back in blaming God or fate for the wrong outcome of our decisions. In greed, a person forgets the difference between right and wrong. When he walks on the wrong path and reaches ruin, then he realizes where greed has led him.

Simple Santosh left the village with her husband and two children and came to the city. So that he can do something good in life and can give good education along with good upbringing to the children.

          

It is not easy to make a mark in a new place and new people. Santosh also had to face difficulties. But he quickly thought of a new job for himself and started working. It will take some time, thinking that Santosh was working hard day and night. 

Santosh started Tiffin Center with less money but soon people started liking the taste of his food. By now Santosh's work had gained a lot of momentum. But he was not getting satisfaction in the hard earned money.

During a conversation with the neighboring women, Santosh came to know that the Pahari Wale Baba is very miraculous. He fulfills every wish, it is beneficial to go only once.

         

Santosh could not stop his greed and reached the Pahari Wale Baba. Once after leaving, there was little benefit in Santosh's work, then his greed started increasing. But she forgot that our hard work has small advantages and disadvantages on its own. No Baba can be anyone's fortune maker.

         

 Santosh could not understand such a thing. Now she started taking her daughter Kanchan with her but trusting the hypocrites proved to be a big mistake for her.

The Baba who had been worshiping for many years took Santosh completely into her faith and asked Santosh to send her to a lonely hut on the pretext of getting her to perform rituals so that there should be no trouble in her daughter's life.

           

Greedy Santosh had become so superstitious that he did not even care for his daughter and the next day handed over his daughter Kanchan to the hypocritical Babas. Kanchan was hurt by the act done by her mother but the Babas whom Santosh was blindly trusting also turned out to be false.

        

Santosh had never even imagined the misdeeds that Baba did to Kanchan in turn. But Kanchan was filled with hatred towards her mother. Feeling stigmatized, the innocent Kanchan had decided to end her life.

On the second day too, when Santosh reached the Baba's tent showing negligence towards the daughter, Kanchan believed in herself and made her decision come true. Wrote two words for mother - " That you have no right to be called mother."
