श्यामली काकी की कला प्रदर्शनी देख आज ये विश्वास करना कठिन है कि ये सब हमारी काकी ने ही बनाई है क्या ? 

          

श्यामली काकी का बाल विवाह हुआ था, जिस उम्र में बच्चे गुड्डे गुड़िया खेलते हैं, उस उम्र में छोटी सी श्यामली को लाल जोड़े में सजाकर हाथों में लाल - लाल चूड़ियां पहनाकर शादी के मंडप में बैठा दिया गया था।

                  छोटे बच्चो को खेलता देख श्यामली का मन भी कर रहा था कि मंडप से भाग जाए और बच्चों के साथ खेले। श्यामली को मां ने गोद में बिठाकर रखी थी, ताकि कोई रस्म गलत ना हो जाए।

          

ख़ैर ! बच्चों से शादी की सभी रस्में करवाई गई, लेकिन छोटी सी श्यामली मां की गोद से उतरने को तैयार ना थी। तय हुआ कि जब श्यामली अट्ठारह वर्ष की हो जायेगी तब उसे ससुराल ले जायेंगे विदा कराके।

अब श्यामली स्कूल की पढ़ाई करते हुए धीरे - धीरे अपनी कला को भी निखार रही थी। श्यामली ने चित्रकला की शिक्षा किसी से नहीं ली, उस पर महादेव की बड़ी कृपा थी। बिना सीखे ही चित्रकारी में अपनी अलग पहचान बना ली थी श्यामली ने अपने जिले में।

         

अब श्यामली अट्ठारह वर्ष की हो चुकी है, ससुराल से संदेशा आया है कि श्यामली की विदाई की तैयारी करो, हम लेने आ रहे हैं। विदाई हो गई श्यामली की, और जब ससुराल पहुंची नई दुल्हन, उसके स्वागत में पूरे पड़ोस की महिलाओं ने मंगल गीत गाकर बहू का स्वागत किए। सभी रस्मों रिवाज के बाद अब घर खाली हुआ, थकी - थकाई श्यामली अपने कमरे में पहुंची, यहां उसने पहली बार अपने दूल्हे तरुण को देखी।

           

तरुण कुछ अस्वस्थ था, उसकी हरकतें भी कुछ असामान्य थी। श्यामली को लगा कि विदाई कार्यक्रम के कारण तरुण को थकान हो गई है। धीरे - धीरे पता चला कि तरुण जब नौ वर्ष का था तो खेलते - खेलते एक पेड़ से गिर गया था, तब से उसकी मानसिक स्थिति ठीक नहीं है। 

ये बात श्यामली के मायके वालों को नही बताई गई थी। अब बात ससुराल की इज्जत की थी, तो श्यामली भी चुप रही। तरुण का बहुत इलाज कराया गया लेकिन उसे कहीं आराम नहीं लगा। तरुण की बच्चों वाली हरकत कभी नहीं सुधरी, श्यामली हमेशा तरुण का ध्यान रखती थी कि कहीं उसे चोट ना लग जाए या वो किसी को हानि ना पहुंचा दे।

            

आज श्यामली को पंचायत में बुलाया गया था कि गांव के स्कूल में वो बच्चों को पढ़ा ले। जिसके लिए श्यामली ने सोचकर बताने की बात कही। घर आई तो देखी कि घर के बाहर बहुत भीड़ लगी है।

घबराकर घर के अंदर गई देखी तो सासू मां रो रही थी, क्योंकि तरुण घर से लापता था। घर और गांव के पुरुष उसे ढूंढने निकले हैं। श्यामली को कुछ समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि वो क्या करे। दिन भर तरुण की तलाश की गई लेकिन वो कहीं नहीं मिला। अब श्यामली के मन में डरावने विचार आने लगे, कि पता नहीं क्या हुआ तरुण को।

सुबह - सुबह कुछ लोग श्यामली के घर आ गए कि पास के गांव के तालाब में एक नौजवान का शव तैरता हुआ मिला है। आप लोग जाकर देखो वो वही तो नहीं जिसे आप तलाश कर रहे थे 

           

ये शव तरुण का ही था, श्यामली की दुनिया सूनी हो चुकी थी। उसके माता - पिता का एकमात्र सहारा तरुण ही था, उसके ना रहने की हालत में अब श्यामली को ही उनका ख्याल रखना था। 

कभी तरुण के माता - पिता ने श्यामली को बहू नहीं समझे। उसे बेटी की तरह रखे और वो चाहते थे कि श्यामली दूसरा विवाह कर ले। लेकिन श्यामली का कहना था कि भाग्य में सुहागन बने रहना लिखा होता तो, उसका पति ही क्यों मरता। उसकी बातें सुनकर उसके सास - ससुर चुप हो जाते थे।

                सास - ससुर के देहांत के बाद श्यामली अकेली हो गई। उसे अब एहसास हुआ कि अकेलापन क्या होता है। क्योंकि जब तक वो थे तब तक उनकी सेवा में समय बीत जाता था और कुछ समय गांव के स्कूल में।

श्यामली ने ये अच्छा की कि अपनी चित्रकला का अभ्यास वो करती रही। आज वही उसके अकेलेपन की साथी है। आज श्यामली की कला प्रदर्शनी को देखने दूर - दूर से लोग आते हैं। अब वो अपने घर में ही बच्चों को चित्रकला की शिक्षा देती है।

        

उन्हें सब काकी कहकर ही बुलाते हैं। काकी को देखकर यही सीख मिलती है कि अपनी कला को निखारए और अकेलेपन को अपने अंदर स्थान मत दीजिए। उस समय का उपयोग   अपने लिए कर अपनी छिपी प्रतिभा को पहचानिए।

Seeing Shyamali Kaki's art exhibition today, it is difficult to believe that our kaki has made all this.

          

Shyamali Kaki had a child marriage, at which age children play with dolls. At the age, little Shyamali was decorated in a red pair, wearing red bangles in her hands and was made to sit in the wedding pavilion.

          Seeing the small children playing, Shyamali also felt like running away from the pavilion and playing with the children. Shyamali was kept by the mother in her lap, so that no ritual goes wrong.

       

So ! All the rituals of marriage were done for the children, but little Shyamali was not ready to get down from the mother's lap. It was decided that when Shyamali would be eighteen years old, the she would be taken to her in- law's house by sending her off.

          Now Shyamali was slowly improving her art while studying in school. Shyamali did not take education of painting from anyone, Mahadev had great grace on her. Without learning, Shyamali had made her own identity in painting in her district.

           

               Shyamali is now eighteen years old. A message has come from the in - law's house that prepare to bid farewell to Shyamali, we are coming to pick up Shyamali. Shyamali's farewell happened, and when the new bride arrived in her in - law's house, the woman of the whole neighborhood welcomed the daughter - in - law by singing mangal songs. After all the rituals, the house was now empty, tired Shyamali reached her room, where she saw her groom Tarun for the first time.

          

Tarun was somewhat unwell, his actions were also unusual, Shyamali felt that Tarun was tired due to the farewell program. Slowly it come to know that when Tarun was nine years old, he had fallen from a tree while playing. Since then his mental condition is not good. 

This things was not told to Shyamali's parents. Now this things was about the respect of the in - law's, so Shyamali also remained silent. Tarun was treated a lot but he did not feel any relief. Tarun's childish behaviour never improved. Shyamali always took care of Tarun that he should not get hurt or harm anyone. 

         

Today Shyamali was called to the Panchayat to teach the children in the village school. For which Shyamali told to tell after thinking. When she came home, she saw that there was a lot of crowd outside the house.

When she went inside the house in panic, she saw her mother - in - law crying because Tarun was missing from the house. The men of the house and village have gone out to find him. Shyamali had no idea what to do. Tarun was searched throughout the day but he was nowhere to be found. Now scary thoughts started coming in Shyamali's mind, that she does not know what happened to Tarun.

       

Now the morning some people come to Shyamali's house that the dead body of a young man was found floating in the pond of the nearby village. You guys go and see that it's not what you were looking for.

              This dead body belonged to Tarun, Shyamali's world was deserted. Tarun was the only support of his parents, in the absence of him, now Shyamali had to take care of them.

Tarun's parents never considered Shyamali as daughter -in - law. Keep her as a daughter and he wanted Shyamali to get married again. But Shyamali said that if it was written in the fate to remain happy, then why would her husband have died. Hearing her words, her in - laws used to be silent.

Shyamali became lonely after the death of her mother - in - law and father - in - law. She now realized what loneliness is. Because as long as he was there, time was spent in his service and some time in village school.

Shyamali did it well that she kept practicing her painting. Today people come from far and wide to see Shyamali's art exhibition. Now she teaches painting to children at home.

         

Everyone calls her as Kaki. Seeing Kaki, the only lesson that is learned is to refine your art and do not allow loneliness a place inside you. Use your time to discover your hidden talent.
