अगली दिवाली / Next Diwali

कहां हो बेटी लच्छो ? देखो पापा क्या लाए हैं। आई पापा ! बोलकर दौड़ी - दौड़ी एक प्यारी सी बच्ची आकर देवांश की गोद में चढ़ गई। क्या लाए हैं पापा ? 

         

एक - एक करके थैली से सारा सामान बाहर निकाल देने के बाद भी लच्छो के चेहरे पर वो पहले वाली खुशी नहीं थी। लच्छो शिकायत भरे लहजे में बोली पापा आप मेरी पसंद की मिठाई नही लाए। देवांश बिना कुछ कहे कमरे से बाहर चले गए।

            

देवांश ये सोचकर दुखी थे ये सोचकर कि वो अपनी लाड़ली लक्ष्मी को उसकी पसंद की मिठाई तक नहीं दे पा रहे हैं। देवांश और गीता की इकलौती संतान है लक्ष्मी, प्यार से उसे लच्छो बुलाते है।दिवाली के दिन ही जन्म हुआ था उसका, इसलिए उसका नाम लक्ष्मी रख दिए।

लक्ष्मी के जन्म के बाद से ही देवांश का कारोबार दिन दूनी रात चौगुनी रफ्तार से बढ़ रहा था। किसी चीज की कोई कमी नहीं थी। लेकिन कारोबार में आज वो बात नहीं रही। अब घर चलाना भी मुश्किल हो रहा था। हालात ये हो गए कि घर का गुजारा करने के लिए देवांश को दूसरे के पास काम मांगने जाना पड़ रहा है।

            

कल दिवाली है साथ ही लक्ष्मी का जन्मदिन भी। लेकिन इस बार उसकी पसंद की मिठाई तक नहीं आई।पापा को उदास देखकर लच्छो बोली कोई बात नहीं पापा, अगली दिवाली पर हम खूब सारी मिठाईयां लायेंगे। तभी गीता हाथ में मिठाई का डिब्बा लेकर आई और बोली हमारी बेटी का जन्मदिन है तो अगली दिवाली का इंतजार क्यों करे, लो इसी दिवाली में तुम्हारी पसंद की मिठाई लाई हूं। देवांश ने प्रश्नों भरी नजरें गीता पर डाली, गीता ने मुस्कुराकर आंखे झपकाई और देवांश को आश्वस्त किया कि सब ठीक है।

            

अचानक देवांश की नजर गीता के कानों पर गई। अब वो समझ गया कि लच्छो की पसंद की मिठाई और खिलौने कैसे आए हैं।

गीता ने बचे हुए रुपए देवांश के हाथ में रखते हुए कहा, इन रुपए से आप अपना काम दुबारा शुरू कीजिए ताकि फिर किसी दिवाली हमें अपनी लच्छो को अगली दिवाली तक इंतजार करने को ना कहना पड़े।

          

देवांश की आंखे भर आई, गीता को गले लगाते हुए बोला कि मुझे तुम पर गर्व है। तुम्हारी सूझ बूझ और समझदारी से हम अपना काम दोबारा शुरू कर पाएंगे।

Where are you daughter Lachho ! Look what Papa has brought. Come Papa, a cute little girl who ran after speaking came and climbed on Devansh's lap. What have you brought Papa ? 

          

Even after taking out all the things from the bag one by one, Lachho's face was not the same happiness as before. Lachho said in a complaining tone, Papa you did not bring the sweets of my choice. Devansh left the room without saying anything.

            

Devansh was said, thinking that he could not even give sweets of his choice to his beloved Lakshmi. The only child of Devansh and Geeta is Lakshmi, affectionately called Lachho. She was born on the day of Diwali, hence she was named Lakshmi.

Since the birth of Lakshmi Devansh's buisness was increasing day and night at quadruple speed. There was no shortage of anything. But that was not the case in business today. Now it was getting difficult to even run the house. The situation has become such that to maintain the house, Devansh has to go to someone else to ask for work.

              

Tomorrow is Diwali, as well as Lakshmi's birthday. But this time the sweet of his choice did not even come. Seeing Papa said, Lachho said no problem Papa, on next Diwali we will bring lots of sweets. Then Geeta came with a box of sweets in her hand and said that it is our daughter's birthday, so why wait for the next Diwali. In this Diwali I have brought sweets of you choice. Devansh casts questioning eyes on Geeta, Geeta smiles and blinks her eyes and assures Devansh that all is well.

             

Suddenly Devansh's eyes fell on, Geeta's ears. Now he understands how Lachho's favourite sweets and toys have come to be.

                    Geeta, keeping the remaining money in Devansh's hand, said, " With this money you start your work again so that on any Diwali we don't have to ask our Lachho to wait till next Diwali."

Devansh 's eyes filled with tears, hugging Geeta and said that I am proud of you. With your wisdom and understanding, we will be able to start our work again.
