अब लाखन नए नए उपाय सोचता प्रिया को परेशान करने के लिए। अपने उपायों का प्रयोग भी करता प्रिया पर, लेकिन सफल नहीं हो पाता था। क्योंकि प्रिया उसकी बातों की गांठ बनाकर बैठी थी कि कभी वापस मत आना। तो यहां प्रयासों की सफलता की कोई उम्मीद थी भी नहीं। ऐसे ही कभी प्रिया का मन पिघल भी जाता और कभी कठोर भी हो जाया करती थी। क्या निर्णय ले यही सोचते - सोचते दस साल का समय बीत गया।

अब लाखन घर वापस जाने के बजाय और शराब पीकर प्रिया के घर वापसी का इंतजार करने लगा। क्या था उसके मन में पता नहीं, उसकी आंखें गुस्से में लाल हो गई थी। लाखन का भयानक चेहरा देखकर कोई भी उसके खतरनाक मंसूबे का अंदाजा लगा सकता था। ख़ैर ! प्रिया सभी घरों से काम खत्म करके घर आई तब उसे तीन बज गए थे। घर आई तो देखी घर का दरवाजा खुला हुआ है, वो समझ गई कि अब तक लाखन यहीं है। आते ही प्रिया बोली तुम गए नही, बस लाखन को मौका मिल गया। प्रिया को गंदी - गंदी गालियां देने लगा और उस पर चरित्रहीन होने का आरोप लगाने लगा।

प्रिया को समय लगेगा इस हादसे से बाहर निकलने में। आशा है जल्दी अपने बेटे जतिन के साथ वो एक खुशहाल जीवन की शुरुआत करेगी। दस साल का जतिन भले ही मानसिक रूप से बड़ा नही हुआ लेकिन मां को संभाल रहा है।
