अभिशाप क्या है ? / What is curse ? ( Part - l )

लड़की होना अभिशाप है या सुंदर होना अभिशाप है। पूनम के साथ जो घटना घटी उसे मैं याद भी नहीं करना चाहती, लेकिन अच्छा या बुरा कोई भी समय हम एकदम नहीं भूला पाते हैं और कुछ बुरे अनुभव तो चाहकर भी दिल दिमाग से नहीं निकल पाते हैं।

परिवार की सबसे छोटी बेटी थी पूनम। उसके जन्म के बाद से परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति में बहुत सुधार आया। पूनम के नाम से एक लॉटरी खरीदी उसके पापा ने। उन्हें कोई आशा नहीं थी, कि इस लॉटरी से इस बार कुछ मिलेगा उन्हें। क्योंकि ऐसी लॉटरी तो वे हर साल नवरात्रि में खरीदते ही थे। जिसका परिणाम दशहरे के दिन घोषित किया जाता था। मां दुर्गा के आशीर्वाद से पूनम ने लॉटरी में पांच लाख रुपए जीत लिए। तब से पूनम को परिवार में सबसे भाग्यशाली बच्ची माना जाने लगा। ख़ैर ! अब पूनम इतनी बड़ी हो गई थी कि स्कूल में दाखिला करा दिया जाए। पिता ने अच्छे स्कूल में पूनम का दाखिला करवा दिए। बचपन से ही खूबसूरती के मामले में भी पूनम परिवार में सबसे आगे थी।

जैसे जैसे बड़ी हो रही थी पूनम की खूबसूरती उसके लिए परेशानी का कारण बन रही थी। सबसे बड़ी परेशानी ये थी कि पूनम गांव में रहती थी। शहर से उनके गांव की दूरी यही कोई बारह किलोमीटर रही होगी। पढ़ाई तो शहर में ही करती थी लेकिन आने जाने के लिए बस का ही सहारा था। क्योंकि परिवार की आय का मुख्य स्रोत केवल कृषि ही था। तो उसके माता पिता बच्चों को स्कूल रवाना करने के बाद खेतों की तरफ निकल जाते थे काम के लिए। पूनम अभी सिर्फ बारह साल की है, लेकिन उसको देखने से बिल्कुल नही लगता कि ये बारह साल की बच्ची है। हां बात करने के बाद आप जरूर कह सकते हैं कि ये बच्ची है। उसके शरीर की बनावट और उसकी खूबसूरती देखकर आस पड़ोस के मनचले उसे हर समय तांकते रहते थे। पूनम आखिर थी तो बच्ची ही उसने इन बातों पर कभी ध्यान भी नहीं दी।

वो तो अपने सरल स्वभाव से सभी को भैया कहकर बुलाती और हंसकर बात करती और चली जाती। इंसान में हर तरह की खूबी भी उसके लिए अभिशाप बन जाती है। इस बात की सच्चाई आपको भी थोड़ी देर में पता चल ही जायेगी। क्योंकि सभी की सोच एक सी नही होती। आज पूनम का आखरी पेपर है, सहेलियों से कब मुलाकात होगी पता नहीं। यही सोचकर पूनम अपनी सभी सहेलियों के लिए कुछ चॉकलेट और नाश्ते का सामान घर से ही साथ ले गई। आज और दिनो के मुकाबले पूनम कुछ ज्यादा ही खूबसूरत लग रही थी।। उसकी खूबसूरती को नजर में रखने वाला या यूं कहें कि नजर लगाने वाला कमल उसके घर के सामने ही रहता था। पूनम तो उसे भी भाई ही बुलाती थी क्योंकि कमल था भी उससे दुगुनी उम्र का। लेकिन कमल कुछ अलग ही योजना बनाकर बैठा था। उसने कई बार कोशिश भी किया कि पूनम स्कूल उसके साथ उसकी मोटरसाइकिल से चली जाए लेकिन पिता की लाड़ली पूनम बस तक अपने पिता के साथ साथ ही जाती थी। इसलिए कमल अपनी किसी भी साजिश में सफल नहीं हो सका।

ख़ैर ! अब पूनम की परीक्षा खत्म हो गई थी। कुछ दिन तक माता पिता के साथ खेत जाने के बाद पूनम बीमार हो गई। तो उसे डांट डपटकर घर पर ही रहने को कहा गया। लेकिन पूनम घर में अकेली रहना ही नहीं चाहती थी, उसका कारण था कमल ! अभी पूनम भले ही बच्ची थी लेकिन कमल की गंदी नजरों से उसे बहुत डर लगता था। माता पिता को भी क्या बताए, इसलिए सबके साथ खेत ही चले जाना उसे सबसे सुरक्षित और सरल रास्ता लगता था। पूनम अपने पिता से बोली मैं ठीक हूं पापा, मैं भी चलूंगी खेत में कहकर वह हो गई। बेटी की बीमार परिस्थिति पिता की आंखों के सामने ही थी। तो आज सबने घर में रहकर आराम करना तय किए। पूनम जब आश्वस्त हो गई कि उसके साथ सब घर में है तब उसे झपकी आ गई। दो तीन दिन तक घर में कोई न कोई रहा पूनम के साथ, तब वो घर में रही। जब से पूनम घर में है उसे कमल कहीं दिखाई नहीं दिया अब वो निश्चिंत और खुश रहने लगी।

Being a girl is a curse or being beautiful is a curse. I don't even want to remember the incident that happened with Poonam, but we can't forget any good or bad times and even after wanting some bad experiences, we can't get out of our mind.

Poonam was the youngest daughter of the family. After his birth, the economic condition of the family improved a lot. Her father bought a lottery in Poonam's name. He had no hope that he would get anything from this lottery this time. Because they used to buy such lotteries every year during Navratri. The result of which was declared on the day of Dussehra. With the blessings of Maa Durga, Poonam won five lakh rupees in the lottery. Since then Poonam was considered the luckiest child in the family. So ! Now Poonam was old enough to be admitted to school. Father got Poonam admitted in a good school. Poonam was at the forefront of the family. Even in terms of beauty since childhood.

Poonam's beauty was becoming a cause of trouble for her as she was growing up. The biggest problem was that Poonam lived in the village. The distance of his village from the city must have been about twelve kilometres. She used to study in the city itself, but had only the support of the bus to come and go. Because the main source of income of the family was agriculture only. So his parents used to go to the fields for work after sending the children to school. Poonam is only twelve years old now, but looking at her, it does not seem at all that she is a twelve year old girl. Yes after talking you can definitely say that she is a baby girl. Seeing her body texture and her beauty, the people of the neighborhood used to stare at her all the time. Poonam was a child after all, so she never even paid attention to these things.

With her simple nature, she used to call everyone as brother and used to talk with a smile and go away. Every kind of virtue in a person also becomes a curse to know the truth of this in short while. Because not everyone's thinking is the same. Today is Poonam's last paper, don't know when she will meet her friends. Thinking this, Poonam took some chocolates and snacks from home for all her friends. Today Poonam was looking more beautiful than other days. The one who keeps an eye on her beauty should say that the Kamal who keeps an eye on her used to live in front of her house. Poonam used to call him brother too because Kamal was also twice her age. But Kamal was sitting with a different plan. He also tried several times to make Poonam go to school with him on his motorcycle, but father's darling Poonam used to accompany her father till the bus. That's why Kamal could not succeed in any of his plans.

Well ! Now Poonam's exam was over. Poonam fell ill after visiting the farm with her parents for a few days. So he was scolded and asked to stay at home. But Poonam did not want to be alone in the house. His reason was the Kamal. Even though Poonam was a child now, she was very scared of Kamal's dirty eyes. What to tell his parents too, so going to the farm with everyone seemed to him the safest and easiest way. Poonam said to her father, I am fine father, I will also go to the field, saying that she got ready. The sick condition of the daughter was in front of the father's eyes. So today everyone decided to rest at home. When Poonam was sure that everyone was in the house with her, she dozed off. Someone or the other stayed with Poonam for two - three days, then she stayed in the house. Ever since Poonam is in the house, she has not seen Kamal anywhere, now she is relaxed and happy.
