वो अप्रैल का महीना / That the month of April

कभी कभी हमारा प्यार पर अति विश्वास जीवन को नष्ट कर देता है। ऐसा इसलिए कह रही हूं क्योंकि योगिता के साथ यही तो हुआ है।

योगिता मध्यमवर्गीय परिवार की अच्छी पढ़ी लिखी लड़की है। परिवार में भाई बहनों में सबसे छोटी योगिता को सभी बहुत प्यार करते थे। बहनें हमेशा योगिता को नए काम सीखने और आगे बढ़ने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती थी। इसलिए योगिता ने कुछ सामाजिक संगठनों में भी अपनी अलग पहचान बना ली थी। ऐसे ही दिन बीत रहे थे। योगिता एक ऐसे संगठन के लिए निरीक्षण का कार्य कर रही थी जो गरीब बेरोजगार युवतियों को रोजगार देने के लिए पहले प्रशिक्षण देगी फिर उन्हें रोजगार के लिए उचित राशि की सहायता भी देगी। अब तक योगिता ने अपनी मेहनत से ऐसे संगठन का गठन की जो गरीब बच्चों को निःशुल्क शिक्षा प्रदान करे उसके काम की हर जगह प्रसंशा होने लगी और स्कूल, कॉलेजों में जब भी कोई कार्यक्रम होता मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में योगिता को बुलाया जाने लगा। ऐसे ही एक कार्यक्रम में उसकी मुलाकात दीपेश से हुई। दीपेश ने बताया कि वो एक फौजी है अभी इसी शहर में उसकी नियुक्ति है और रविवार को उसकी छुट्टी रहती है। दीपेश के आकर्षक व्यक्तित्व से योगिता भी प्रभावित हो गई थी। लेकिन योगिता को ये नहीं मालूम था कि दीपेश भी उसे पसंद करने लगा है। दोनो के पास पास एक दूसरे के फोन नंबर थे, तो बात होती रहती थी।

जल्दी ही दीपेश ने योगिता को अपने मन की बात कह दिया तो योगिता ने कोई आपत्ति व्यक्त नहीं की। अब दीपेश घर जा रहा था छुट्टी में, जाते समय योगिता से कहा कि वापस आकर मैं तुम्हारे घर आऊंगा मिलने। हर बात के लिए सहमत योगिता ने हां में सिर हिलाकर अपनी सहमति दर्ज करा दी। अभी दीपेश को घर गए हुए पंद्रह दिन ही बीत थे कि वो योगिता से मिलने वापस आ गया। दोनो बहुत खुश थे, दीपेश योगिता के घर आया ताकि उनके रिश्ते को नाम मिल जाए। वो दोनों शादी के बंधन में बंध जाए।

योगिता के माता पिता को कोई आपत्ति नहीं थी वो इस रिश्ते को अपनी स्वीकृति दे चुके थे। लेकिन दीपेश की एक गलती उनके रिश्ते को खत्म करने के लिए काफी थी। सब कुछ ठीक था दीपेश के नजरिए से, उसने सोचा था पहले योगिता के माता पिता को मना लेगा फिर अपने घर में बात करेगा शादी के लिए। यही बात उसके लिए बड़ी भूल साबित हुई। क्योंकि उसके माता पिता ने इस रिश्ते को अस्वीकार कर दिए। अब दीपेश को कुछ समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि योगिता के माता पिता को क्या जवाब देगा। उन्हें तो दीपेश वचन देकर आया था कि मैं अप्रैल में आऊंगा तो योगिता को दुल्हन बनाकर ले जाऊंगा। दीपेश की बातों का ये असर हुआ कि उसके माता पिता ने उसकी शादी उसके बड़े भाई की साली से करवा दिए। यहां दीपेश का कमजोर होना योगिता की जिंदगी की बर्बादी का कारण बन गया।

दीपेश की शादी के बाद ही उसका तबादला श्रीनगर हो गया और योगिता से उसका संपर्क टूट गया। योगिता हर दिन उसके फोन का इंतजार करती थी। साल दर साल ऐसे ही समय बीतता गया। लेकिन दीपेश का कोई फोन नही आया। योगिता तो ये स्वीकार कर चुकी थी कि दीपेश के सभी वादे झूठे थे, वो आगे बढ़ चुका है।

योगिता की मां ये मानने को तैयार नहीं थी कि दीपेश शादी कर चुका है। वो हमेशा यही कहती थी कि उसकी ड्यूटी की वजह से वो आ नहीं पाया। लेकिन अगले साल अप्रैल में वो जरूर आएगा। मां के विश्वास को जिंदा रखने के लिए योगिता ने अपने टूटे सपनों को और टूटने से बचाने के लिए दीपेश का इंतजार करने का फैसला की। योगिता आज भी उस अप्रैल का इंतजार कर रही है जिसमें दीपेश आने वाला है। जबकि दीपेश दो बेटियों का पिता बन चुका है। ये कैसा वादा था, वो कैसा प्यार था जिसे निभाने की हिम्मत नहीं थी दीपेश में।

काश ! दीपेश समय रहते योगिता से सच बोलने की हिम्मत कर पाता। या अपने माता पिता को मनाने की क्षमता होती उसमें। मुझे लगता है दीपेश स्वार्थी था जो योगिता की परवाह नही किया उसने। बेकसूर योगिता को सच्चा प्यार करने के बदले सिर्फ इंतजार मिला। क्योंकि वो अप्रैल का महीना कभी नहीं आएगा जिसमें योगिता के सपने सच हो। 😥

Sometimes our overconfidence in love destroys life. I am saying this because this is what happened to Yogita.

Yogita is a well educated girl from middle class family. Yogita, the youngest of the siblings in the family was loved by all. Sisters always encouraged Yogita to learn new things and move forward. Hence Yogita had made her own identity in some social organizations as well. Days were passing like this. Yogita was doing the work of supervision for an organization that would first give tranning to the poor unemployment and then also give them the help of appropriate amount for employment. Till now Yogita has formed such an organization with her hard work which provides free education to poor children. Her work was praised everywhere and whenever there was any program in schools, colleges, Yogita was called as the chief guest. In one such program, she met Dipesh. Dipesh told that he is a soldier, he is currently posted in this city and he has a holiday on Sunday. Yogita was also impressed by Dipesh's charming personality. But Yogita did not know that Dipesh has also started liking her. Both had each other's phone numbers, so they kept talking.

Soon after Dipesh told Yogita about his mind, Yogita did not express any objection. Now Dipesh was going home on leave, while leaving told Yogita that after coming back I will come to your house to meet. Agreeing to everything Yogita nodded yes and registered her consent. Just fifteen days had passed since Dipesh had gone home that he came back to meet Yogita. Both were very happy, Dipesh came to Yogita's house so that their relationship would get a name. Both of them get tied in the bond of marriage.

Yogita's parents had no objection, they had given their approval to this relationship. But one mistake of Dipesh was enough to end their relationship. Everything was fine from Dipesh's point of view, he thought that he would first convince Yogita's parents and then talk in his house, for marriage. This proved to be a big mistake for him. Because his parents disapproved of this relationship. Now Dipesh could not understand what would answer Yogita's parents. Dipesh had come to him with a promise that if I come in April, I will take Yogita as a bride. The effect of Dipesh's words was that his parents got him married to his elder brother's sister - in - law. Here Dipesh's weakness became the reason for the ruin of Yogita's life.

It was only after Dipesh's marriage that he was transferred to Srinagar and lost contact with Yogita. Yogita used to wait for his phone every day. Year after year the same time passed. But no call came from Dipesh. Yogita had already accepted that all Dipesh's promises were false, he has moved on.

Yogita's mother was not ready to believe that Dipesh was married. She always used to say that he could not come because of his duty. But he will definitely come in April next year. In order to keep her mother's faith alive, Yogita decides to wait for Dipesh to save her shattered dreams from breaking further. Yogita is still waiting for the April in which Dipesh is going to come. While Dipesh has become the father of two daughters. What kind of promise was this, what kind of love was that which Dipesh did not have the courage to fulfill.

If only ! Dipesh would have dared to speak the truth to Yogita in time. Or he would have had the ability to persuade his parents. I think Dipesh was selfish who didn't care for Yogita. Innocent Yogita got only wait for true love. Because that month of April will never come in which Yogita's dreams come true. 😥
